Proclamation Requests

The City of Hinesville issues proclamations signed by the mayor and city manager on the first and third Thursdays of each month to recognize topics of significance to the public and those which promote better quality of life for Hinesville residents. Proclamations for special events may also be submitted. Requests for proclamations must be submitted 15 days prior to the desired signing date. Final approval for proclamations must have the mayor’s approval to be issued and added to the calendar.

All requests must be made at least 15 days prior to the date the proclamation will be signed. Requests must include:
  • Title of what will be proclaimed
  • Desired date to be signed
  • Copy of proclamation or facts about the subject
  • Events to support or recognize the subject
  • Contact information for the person making the request including name, complete mailing address, phone number, and email (if applicable)
