Hinesville Military Affairs Committee (HMAC)

Hinesville - Home of Fort Stewart and the 3rd Infantry Division (Mechanized)

We want to let you know what our City is doing to bring the civilian and military communities together. The purpose of the Hinesville Military Affairs Committee is to provide support to soldiers and their families while they are stationed here and during the Marne Division's busy deployment schedule. We continue to nurture that relationship by working as a team with Fort Stewart, the City of Hinesville and surrounding area communities.

We have coordinated many programs in support of military members and their families, especially those who deploy. Working hand-in-hand with Fort Stewart, the committee has sponsored farewell picnics, welcome home celebrations, initiated the making and placing of yellow bows, organized the Deployment Discount Program, participated in refurbishing the Warriorr's Walk guidons and provided flowers for military funeral services.

Projects

  • Welcome Home Celebrations for the military units

  • Yellow Bows: If you would like a yellow bow for your door or mailbox, please come to City Hall, 115 East MLK Jr. Drive, or or call 912.877.4332.
