Hinesville Reclaimed Water Program
The City of Hinesville Reclaimed Water program began in August 2008 to provide highly-treated reclaimed water to Hinesville residents at a reasonable cost. Reclaimed water is used for irrigation and reduces use of well water withdrawal so it can be reserved for human consumption only. All water is treated to U.S. Environmental Protection Agency guidelines.
Consider using the system to benefit from potential cost savings and as an alternative source of water for irrigation purposes. There is no connection fee and the rate is $10 per month for the first 20,000 gallons then 10 cents per thousand for any consumption above 20,000 gallons. Also, no sewer fee is paid on water used through the program.
