The City of Hinesville has prepared a grant application seeking $11,717 in funding from the Bureau of Justice Assistance’s Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Program to assist with equipment expenses for the Hinesville Police Department and the Liberty County Sherriff's Department.
The application is available for public review and comment between August 17, 2017, and September 4, 2017, during the hours of 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. The City of Hinesville has prepared the Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER) for fiscal year 2017. This self-evaluation tool will be submitted to the U.S. Department of Urban Development (HUD) to determine if the City has met or is meeting the goals and objectives indicated in its Consolidated Plan and corresponding Annual Action Plan.The Consolidated Plan outlines funding priorities the City will pursue to address identified needs throughout the community over a five-year period. The priorities and corresponding activities indicated coincide with one of HUD’s three National Objectives: (1) benefit low-to-moderate income persons, (2) remove slum and blight conditions, and/or (3) meet an urgent need. The Annual Action Plan describes specific projects and activities the City will undertake to address the priority needs as identified in its 5-year Consolidated Plan.The CAPER will be available for public review and comment between August 7, 2017, and September 7, 2017, during the hours of 8:30 am and 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday excluding holidays.
