Homeless Prevention

The City of Hinesville Homeless Prevention Program provides assistance to applicants that are being evicted from their current residence and/or utilities are in disconnection status. Applicants must reside within the City of Hinesville limits. 

*Please note that our programs do not provide immediate assistance and assistance is dependent upon funding availability. The process for this program requires time to complete. If approved, the home must pass inspection and applicants must meet with Homeless Prevention staff before funds are issued. Assistance funds are paid directly to the vendor from the City of Hinesville and are not released directly to applicants. 
In addition to completing the application below, the following documentation must be provided to determine eligibility for prevention assistance: 

1. Court Ordered Eviction Notice
2. Utility Disconnection Notice
3. Proof of Hardship
4. Birth Certificates and Social Security Cards for all household members
5. Income Documentation - Most recent 30 days
6. Copy of Lease ( ALL PAGES)
