Blood Pressure Checks

Free blood pressure checks are offered to the public.  If you are interested, please stop by the Hinesville Fire Department at 103 Liberty Street.  This service is available during daylight hours every day of the week.

Child Safety Seat Checks

The Hinesville Fire Department has trained Car Seat Technicians who will inspect your child's car seat to insure proper installation and safety for your child.  This is a free service to the public.  They will also provide information to the parent(s) on how to properly install a car seat, how to secure their child in the seat, and when to upgrade the seat for their growing child.

Periodically, infant seats and booster seats are donated to the Hinesville Fire Department.  These seats are free to the public when available.

Please contact the station for further information at (912) 876-4143.

Home Safety Check

The purpose of this program is to make the occupant aware of any potential hazards inside the home.  Our focus is to help make the home a safer environment.  We will conduct a home safety inspection and advise the occupant of any potential hazards found.  This free service is available to any resident within the City of Hinesville.

Please take advantage of this free service.  To schedule a Home Safety Check for your residence, please call the HFD Administrative Office at (912) 876-4143.

Vial Of Life

The Vial of Life program is designed to assist emergencies personnel.  The kit includes a vial (a plastic capsule container), an Emergency Information Form, and a sticker.  The completed Emergency Information Form includes his/her vital information such as allergies, medications, blood type, etc.  It is kept inside the vial in his/her refrigerator or glove box.  The sticker is then affixed to the outside of the refrigerator door or glove box door to alert the emergency personnel.  Therefore, if a medical emergency arises and no one can provide the needed information, the vial can be taken from the refrigerator or glove box and may save their life.

If you would like to participate in this program or know of someone who would benefit from this free service, please call the station at (912) 876-4143.
