C.O.P. SERVICES
C.O.P. officers wear blue and yellow uniforms and travel on police bikes, on foot, or in police patrol vehicles.

- Babysitter safety tips
C.O.P. Substations
Substation locations were chosen due to the nature of the crime in these areas and to the number of calls for service.
The hours of the substations and availability of these officers is dependent upon unit strength and the officers' schedules. They also work out of the Police Department at 123 East M.L. King, Jr. Drive . |
Neighborhood Watch |
The Hinesville Police Department participates in and promotes the National Neighborhood Watch Program. Citizens of Hinesville are encouraged to participate in this program. The Neighborhood Watch Program fosters a citizen/police partnership in the fight against crime.
Participant responsibilities include:
- securing their property and valuables
- watching over their neighbors' property and valuables
- reporting suspicious persons and activity to the police

School Resource Officer (S.R.O) |
C.O.P.S. in Schools (C.I.S.)
S.R.O. and C.I.S. officers are assigned policing duties at the following schools and the surrounding areas:
- Bradwell Institute
- Lewis Frasier Middle School
- Snelson Golden Middle School
These officers work with the Board of Education faculty and the students to build and maintain a safe environment that is conducive to learning. |
