POLICE RECRUIT

HINESVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT

The City of Hinesville is actively recruiting Police Recruits. This position is responsible for the enforcement of federal, state and local laws and the protection of life and property.

Major duties include:

    • Patrolling the assigned zone to detect and deter criminal activity and traffic violations.
    • Responding to calls that include domestic disputes, assaults, burglaries, traffic accidents, lost or missing person searches, public service duties, stranded motorists, and others.
    • Apprehending, arresting and processing offenders; testifying in judicial proceedings

    Applicants must have the following qualifications:

    • Be 18 years of age
    • Have a high school diploma or equivalent
    • Possess a valid Georgia Driver's License
    • Be a United States citizen
    • Have a DD 214 with Honorable Discharge if ever served in the Armed Forces
    • Be able to pass a written exam, physical agility test, psychological screening, polygraph examination, and background investigation 

     

SALARY AND BENEFITS

Minimum starting salary is $31,460 plus excellent benefits.  The position closes on Wednesday, Sept 3, 2008 at 5:00 p.m
