Police Report Requests
The Records Section of the Hinesville Police Department keeps all incident and accident reports as well as other department records. The officer completing a police report will give you a card with the report number on it. It is very helpful if you bring this number with you when picking up your report. There is no cost for the first copy to persons involved in the incident / accident.

Background Check
A local police records check is available to persons needing background checks for employment / licensing. A signed consent form is required by the individual on whom the records check is being conducted. Consent forms may be obtained at the Hinesville Police Department Records Section at 123 East M.L. King, Jr. Drive.

Open Records Request
Depending on the research involved, some open records requests may have a charge associated with them. You will be notified of any cost prior to the information being provided. Open records requests may be submitted to:

  • Name of requester
  • Phone number (home and work)
  • Date and time of incident
  • Address of incident
  • Case number
  • Person(s) involved
  • Reason for request
