The Hinesville Fire Department utilizes two fire stations and is comprised of 47 paid members and two administrative staff. Chief T. Lamar Cook has a proactive approach to fire prevention, training and education. The Hinesville Fire Department is an Insurance Services Office (ISO) with a Public Protection Classification (PPC) and their rating is Class 3.
Mission Statement
We are dedicated to safeguarding lives, property and the environment of our community through exceptional service in education, preparedness, prevention, and response to emergency incident. An essential function of the department is to provide opportunities for a positive presence in the community. A strong emphasis is placed on connecting the Fire Department and the community together.
Fire Reports
Fire incident reports are available one week after the incident date. Reports can be picked up Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Fire Station #1 (103 Liberty Street).
Recycling
The Hinesville Fire Department recycles aluminum for the Georgia Firefighters Burn Foundation. The Georgia Firefighters Burn Foundation is dedicated to educate the public, support medical facilities and assist burn survivors.
If anyone in the community wishes to contribute to this worthy cause, please deposit your aluminum in the trailer located in the parking lot of Fire Station #1 at 103 Liberty Street.
