What is the HDDA looking for in each of these categories? Read on below!

Cultural Entertainment:
Cultural Entertainers are groups, clubs or performers who are interested in conducting a solo or group performance. This may be a band (instrumental/vocal or instrumental only), chorus, dance troupe, strolling musicians or dancers, story-tellers or demonstrations/exhibits/displays. Priority consideration and acceptance will be given to entertainers that contribute to the theme of the event, which is a celebration of international culture and (in 2020) is centered around the festival theme of "A Celebration of Carnival". Submission of an application does not guarantee acceptance as a vendor for this event. Selection and acceptance granted based on information provided on the application, the cultural authenticity of food items offered, and past experiences with the vendor.
*Performing groups are required to submit a CD recording or website link and photos/video of all applicants in the group.

International Food Court:
Vendors in the International Food Court are primarily sought to represent a variety of countries, and in 2020 the HDDA is seeking vendors who will fit the theme of "A Celebration of Carnival" or represent one of the countries listed about that celebrates Carnival in some way. All health and safety requirements of food vendors, including festival fees, are listed on the application. Selection and acceptance granted based on information provided on the application, the cultural authenticity of food items offered, and past experiences with the vendor.

Global Learning Village:
The Global Learning Village is primarily geared toward children and their families and features booths with activities from one of the 14 listed above (among others). Booth space in this area is generally reserved for educators and schools who want to host a booth at the festival, but it is also open to organizations who want to host a booth and activity centered around one of our Carnival countries. Submission of an application does not guarantee acceptance as a vendor for this event.

World Marketplace:
The World Marketplace is a bazar-like area of the festival that features arts and crafts and other original handmade goods with an international flair. There will be a very limited number of buy-sell vendors selected and approved for this event. Submission of an application does not guarantee acceptance as a vendor for this event. Selection and acceptance granted based on information provided on the application, the cultural authenticity of items offered, and past experiences with the vendor.

*All requirements, expectations and fees, if any, associated with each type of vendor are listed on the applications.
