2021 HUD CDBG Annual Action Plan
The City of Hinesville has prepared and made available for public review and comment the draft 2021 Annual Action Plan as required by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for continuation of funding under the Community Development Block Grant. This Plan will describe specific projects and activities the City will undertake during the program period of July 1, 2021 - June 30, 2022 to address the priority needs as identified in its 5-year Consolidated Plan covering years 2019-2023. Worthy projects previously funded under this grant include Affordable Housing, Irene B. Thomas Park maintenance, Owner Occupied Rehabilitation Program, Public Services Agencies, and Fair Housing Initiative, among others.
Citizens may review a hard copy of the document in the Community Development Department, 2nd floor of City Hall (115 East M.L. King Jr. Drive, Hinesville, Georgia 31313), Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, except holidays.

The City is seeking the public’s input regarding funding priorities as outlined in the Annual Action Plan, and residents are strongly encouraged to participate in this process by reviewing and/or commenting on the proposed 2021 Annual Action Plan, which will be available for a 30-day public review and comment period between March 18, 2021 and April 19, 2021. Comments received by 5:00 pm, April 19, 2021 will be included in the Plan.
Comments may be in person submitted in the Community Development Department, 2nd floor of City Hall (115 East M.L. King Jr. Drive, Hinesville, Georgia 31313), Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, except holidays.

The City of Hinesville will hold two public meetings to receive comments. The first meeting will be on Thursday, March 18, 2021 during the regularly scheduled Council Meeting at 3:00 PM in the Council Chamber at City Hall located at 115 East M.L. King, Jr. Drive, Hinesville, Georgia. The second meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at 6:00 PM in the Council Chambers at City Hall located at 115 East M.L. King, Jr. Drive, Hinesville, Georgia. Social distancing will be observed during both sessions.
