Ethics Committee

The Ethics Committee is charged with ensuring that all actions, decisions, and policies within the City of Hinesville adhere to established ethical standards, investigating complaints of ethical misconduct, and providing guidance or recommendations to maintain accountability and integrity within the City of Hinesville Code of Ethics.

Purpose

The public trust requires that elected officials fulfill their duties with integrity and dedication, prioritizing the public interest over any conflicting personal interests. As trustees of the people, elected officials should strive to advance the public's general welfare.

The Ethics Committee will investigate complaints thoroughly, exercising sound judgment to ensure ethical actions in all situations. The committee will also provide guidance or recommendations to the complainant as needed.

Filing a Complaint
