Hinesville City Hall & Facilities closed Tuesday, January 9th 

                                                    

HINESVILLE, Ga. (January 8th, 2024) – City Hall and all other City facilities will be closed Tuesday, January 9th due to severe weather approaching our area. The Hinesville Police and Fire Department will remain active in the event of emergencies. The Public Works Department will still conduct City services, but all other departments will be closed.

 

From the National Weather Service of Charleston: “A strong storm system will impact the area Tuesday into Tuesday night bringing a threat for severe weather, strong winds and heavy rainfall. Expected rainfall throughout the event could reach up to 1.5 inches and wind advisory for sustained winds up to 30-40 mph with gusts up to 50-60 mph”.

 

Residents can expect the main impact of this weather event Tuesday afternoon and evening. We’ll continue to provide more updates as we receive them.

 

 

City Hall and all other City facilities will resume normal operating hours on Wednesday, January 10th, 2024.
