Azalea Street Redevelopment Project


The Azalea Street Redevelopment Project was implemented due to the deteriorating condition of the Azalea Street neighborhood. It was made possible by the City of Hinesville with assistance from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and the Georgia Department of Community Affairs (DCA). Home Repair Assistance Program


The City of Hinesville has obtained grant monies to fund the Home Repair Assistance Program formerly known as Owner-Occupied Rehabilitation. The Program is available through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program. Eligible beneficiaries can receive up to $10,000 in assistance to provide small home repair grants to low-moderate-income homeowners to address safety issues within their homes. Please contact the Grants Administration Office for more information.  The Grants Administration Office is currently accepting applications until funds have been expended.
