Youth Council Members

Austin Martin

Mayor Martin is a senior at FPCA and member of the National Honor Society. In his spare time, he enjoys track, baseball, acting and singing. He plans to finish his education, then start his own business. Austin says that he could see himself in politics one day. This is his second term with the Hinesville Youth Council.

Hope Williams

Acting Mayor Williams is a senior at LCHS, who has a variety of interests ranging from drama club, vocal performance, and cheer leading. Her ambition drives her to continue to research opportunities that will aid in the advancement of her community, peers and herself. To take a healthy break from it all, she slows down by listening to music and taking walks. Following high school, Hope desires to get her bachelor’s in psychology and further her education towards her PhD to become a counselor or psychologist.

Amiyah Durrence

City Clerk Durrence is a junior at FPCA, who demonstrates excellence in her academic and athletic performance. Amiyah is committed to serving her peers as a Representative on Student Council and Team Leader on her varsity softball team, along with her participation on cross country and soccer team. Following high school, Amiyah would like to attend Florida State and major in criminal justice in hopes of becoming a lawyer.

Timothy Christensen

Mayor Pro Tem Christensen is a senior at FPCA, who serves in leadership capacities in the classroom and on the field. From dual enrollment and student council to team captain on his cross-country, basketball, and track teams, Timothy is no stranger to putting his best foot forward. He intends to keep up the momentum starting with his service on the Hinesville Youth Council board.

Hannah Grace Causey

Parliamentarian Causey is a freshman at FPCA serving her first term. Excited and ready for the learning experience ahead of her. Hannah wants to hear other’s point of view to use their opinion to better the community. She is a part of the following clubs and activities at her high school: FPCA debate team, archery team, softball team, soccer team, cheer team, student government, spiritual committee and the service committee at FPCA. After high school Hannah plans to attend Duke University in North Carolina on a scholarship to study business and marketing, then law. She plans to work under a law firm until she can start her own company. Other interests that Hannah would like to pursue include: PHD in Psychology, mathematics or scientific field PHD, and theology PHD. She would also like to study aboard in Greece.

Raveona Williams

Treasurer Williams is a freshman at Bradwell Institute serving her first term. Excited to encourage fellow youth to see a positive change in Hinesville. Raveona is part of the Event club, DECA club, FBLA club, YMCA, and she plays volleyball. Following graduation, she plans to attend college to pursue her dream of becoming a veterinarian, a businesswoman and owning a home to house many pets.

Olivia Bland

Councilmember Bland is a freshman at Bradwell Institute, serving her first term. Excited to be a part of the Hinesville Youth Council. Involved in several extracurricular activities to include; the Chick Fil A Leader Academy, FCCLA, Student Council, book club, skate club, and event club.

Landon Hayes

Councilmember Hayes is a freshman serving his first term. Excited to be a part of the Hinesville Youth Council. Landon plans to work with people to help develop and benefit the community. Landon participates in varsity cross country, varsity clay target shooting, varsity archery, student government, varsity soccer, and U-19 Gators soccer.
